Overview Tekberry is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support our client, Corning, a global leader in advanced materials and manufacturing technologies. This role will focus on documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation across Supply Chain, Warehouse, Quality, and Manufacturing operations. This is a contract opportunity with potential for direct hire, supporting critical documentation efforts tied to SAP implementation and Quality Management System transitions. Position Summary The Technical Writer will partner with Value Stream Leads, subject matter experts (SMEs), and project teams to capture and document business processes in a clear, standardized format. This role supports two primary functions: augmenting documentation efforts to allow operational teams to focus on execution and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and supporting the transition of Quality Management System documentation into new systems (ETQ). The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or operations environments and a strong understanding of supply chain and warehouse processes. Key Responsibilities Documentation & Process Development Develop SOPs, work instructions, process guides, and job aids for SAP-enabled and non-SAP business processes Translate operational workflows into clear, user-friendly documentation Capture process flows, roles, decision points, exceptions, and controls Quality Systems & Documentation Management Update, revise, and improve Quality Management System (QMS) documents Support transition of legacy processes into ETQ document management system Maintain document version control, consistency, and organization Collaboration & Process Capture Partner with Value Stream Leads and SMEs to gather and validate process information Participate in workshops, walkthroughs, and working sessions to document requirements Review and revise documentation based on stakeholder feedback Project Support & Readiness Support documentation readiness for UAT, training, go-live, and operational sustainment Assist in aligning documentation with SAP implementation requirements Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience in technical writing, SOP development, or process documentation Experience supporting Supply Chain, Warehouse, Quality, or Manufacturing environments Strong understanding of operational workflows and documentation practices Experience working with SMEs to capture and validate process content Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Visio preferred Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting SAP implementations or documenting SAP-enabled processes Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, production processes, and procurement Experience in solar module manufacturing Experience supporting UAT, training documentation, or go-live readiness Experience with ETQ or similar document management systems Understanding of Mandarin and/or written Chinese Deliverables Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Work Instructions Process Guides Job Aids Documentation supporting UAT, training, and go-live readiness Work Environment This is a fully onsite role based in Tolleson, AZ, supporting manufacturing and operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
