This role is part of the Product, Design & Marketing team on Apple Services, which includes a range of apps and services spanning productivity, entertainment, cloud, and commerce. We're looking for an experienced UX Writer who is passionate about user experience and interested in creating thoughtful advertising experiences across Apple services and apps. You'll shape the tools and flows that help businesses create ads, as well as the experiences consumers encounter. You'll work alongside designers, product managers, and other cross-functional partners, collaborating on deliverables and processes to create exceptional user experiences that help businesses grow. Description The Writing arm of our Product, Design & Marketing team works across services and products, including ones that are currently available and ones that are just barely being imagined. You'll join a team of writers in pursuit of creating expressive, intuitive, and collaborative experiences that set new standards for the industry and connect people in meaningful ways. As the UX Writer dedicated to helping businesses promote their brands in the places people love and trust, your responsibilities will include:
  • Working closely with the Apple Ads design team to solve UI challenges in response to product requirements
  • Collaborating with product teams, responding to their feedback, and contributing ideas to improve the performance of our content
  • Owning and maintaining documentation for in-product language and messaging
  • Contributing to a design system, providing logic and rules for a variety of use cases
  • Attending design reviews and product meetings to represent and defend the words and tone we look to implement
  • Participating in QA as it pertains to copy and file bugs as necessary Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of professional UX writing experience Direct experience writing for advertising and/or monetization platforms Curiosity about every stage of a user journey, from onboarding to errors Exceptional organizational skills including information architecture Experience writing end-to-end flows and other in-product copy across mobile and desktop Experience using large language models Strong ability to present and defend writing choices in large forums, including executive reviews Strong ability to advocate for users through thoughtful, intuitive language while balancing business needs Enthusiasm for an iterative writing process, incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams and senior leadership Expertise working with design and product documentation, including wireframes, functional specs, and familiarity with design tools like Sketch Understanding of writing optimized for accessibility and localization A meticulous attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Strong sense of Apple's design, human interface, and editorial standards Experience defining guidelines for generated content and evaluating model outputs Passion for Apple, its products, and its customers.
Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
