M-F Summary:

The main function of a technical writing specialist is to develop and create accurate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) technical documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect data and testing results and then transcribe these results into statistical software
  • Ensure all data collected meets the requirements of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Review documents and data sheets for legibility, clarity, and accuracy
  • Identify GDP errors on data sheets and work with engineering team to resolve them
  • Assist in the maintenance of documentation in a standard format following established guidelines
  • Organize the testing results & data sheets, track testing progress, and generate status reports
  • Partner with team members to facilitate clarification or explanation of reference materials and technical documentation
  • Provide logistical and miscellaneous support to the engineering team conducting device testing

Leadership Additional Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat preferred
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) or a proven track record of quickly learning policies such as these
  • Proficient in technical writing
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field
  • 0-2 years of experience required
