Job Description:

Position Summary The Technical Writer and Illustrator is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-focused technical documentation while also developing and delivering effective training programs. This role translates complex technical information into practical manuals, procedures, job aids, presentations, and instructor-led learning materials for GOMACO dealers and customers. Key Responsibilities

Research, write, edit, and maintain technical manuals, user guides, quick reference guides, training guides, and related documentation.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, product specialists, subject matter experts, and managers to gather, verify, and organize technical information.
Convert complex product, process, or equipment information into clear step-by-step instructions that support safe and effective use.
Review existing documentation and training content for accuracy, consistency, clarity, and alignment with current procedures.
Maintain version control, document standards, templates, and style guidelines.
Support product launches, process changes, compliance updates, and continuous improvement initiatives by producing timely documentation and training materials.
Ensure materials meet company quality, safety, regulatory, and branding requirements.

Job/Education Requirements:

Qualifications

Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
An ability to communicate clearly and concisely with presenter/instructor skills a plus.
Experience with Adobe products suite a plus.
Experience with PTC products such as Windchill, Creo Illustrate, Arbortext Editor and CAD design engineering a plus.
