Job Description

Position Summary The Technical Writer and Illustrator is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-focused technical documentation while also developing and delivering effective training programs. This role translates complex technical information into practical manuals, procedures, job aids, presentations, and instructor-led learning materials for GOMACO dealers and customers. Key Responsibilities
  • Research, write, edit, and maintain technical manuals, user guides, quick reference guides, training guides, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, product specialists, subject matter experts, and managers to gather, verify, and organize technical information.
  • Convert complex product, process, or equipment information into clear step-by-step instructions that support safe and effective use.
  • Review existing documentation and training content for accuracy, consistency, clarity, and alignment with current procedures.
  • Maintain version control, document standards, templates, and style guidelines.
  • Support product launches, process changes, compliance updates, and continuous improvement initiatives by producing timely documentation and training materials.
  • Ensure materials meet company quality, safety, regulatory, and branding requirements. Qualifications
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and concisely with presenter/instructor skills a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe products suite a plus.
  • Experience with PTC products such as Windchill, Creo Illustrate, Arbortext Editor and CAD design engineering a plus.
