Engineering CAD TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Engineering CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The role involves working directly with our dealer network to modify and edit quotes for fire trucks, ensuring alignment with our manufacturing capabilities. This position is integral to maintaining clean and accurate communication between engineering and sales, contributing to the growth and success of our company. Responsibilities + Collaborate with dealers to modify and edit quotes, ensuring they match manufacturing capabilities. + Utilize quote writer software and DraftSite, spending approximately 50% of your time on each. + Ensure the compatibility of 'preset assemblies' with 2D drawings. + Work closely with dealers to understand and validate order requests for fire truck manufacturing. + Modify drawings in AutoCAD 2D to reflect accurate specifications. + Act as a liaison between the engineering department and the dealer network. + Update and modify offerings in the quote writer software. Essential Skills + Strong communication skills. + Proficiency in 2D CAD software. + Experience with Excel for mechanical and schematic tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Attention to detail. + Strong computer skills. + Experience with AutoCAD, Blueprint reading, and Troubleshooting. Work Environment The position is based in an office environment. You will be part of a small, family-owned company experiencing significant growth, with a projected 400% increase over the next four years. The dealer network has expanded from 4 to 22, requiring more team members to manage growth and incoming orders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexis, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00- $31.
