full-time Zip Zap IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Accessibility Project Support Specialist II to support a Federal Section 508 accessibility program. This position will provide accessibility compliance, assessment, reporting, and technical support across complex Information and Communications Technology (ICT) projects and acquisition activities. Responsibilities The successful candidate will support: Section 508 compliance activities across the ICT project and acquisition lifecycle Section 508 reviews of Federal IT acquisition and governance activities Accessibility assessments and program health assessments Review and interpretation of web accessibility testing results Analysis of automated accessibility scan results Comparison of automated testing rule sets and remediation guidance against DHS compliance methodologies Accessibility trend analysis Monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reporting Data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting Accessibility risk analysis and recommendations Section 508 reviews supporting IT governance processes Development of professional reports and findings for technical and executive audiences Section 508 technical assistance to project teams and stakeholders Document remediation and accessibility technical assistance as needed Written and verbal instruction related to Section 508 document evaluation and remediation The position will support reporting through an accessibility compliance/ticketing environment based on ServiceNow/ACMS. The SOW specifically identifies OMB/GSA assessments, DHS Component Program Health Assessments, HQ OCIO Program Health Assessments, and reviews associated with DHS IT governance processes. Required Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements:

certification Broad knowledge of the Revised Section 508 Standards At least 2 years of experience supporting ICT projects and acquisition efforts involving Section 508 requirements throughout the project lifecycle Experience supporting complex IT projects At least 2 years of experience evaluating and remediating electronic documents and forms for Section 508 compliance Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF accessibility/remediation Ability to provide verbal and written instruction regarding evaluation and remediation of accessible electronic documents and forms Preferred Qualifications Federal Government Section 508 experience DHS experience Experience with Section 508 program assessments Experience supporting IT acquisition reviews Experience with accessibility governance processes Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/compliance platforms Experience analyzing automated accessibility scan results Experience preparing executive-level accessibility reports Experience with DHS accessibility methodologies and tools Work Arrangement Remote / Federal contract support This is a contract position supporting a Federal Government accessibility program. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a highly collaborative, documentation-intensive environment.
