Job Title:
Validation Technical WriterJob Description This role partners closely with Manufacturing Engineering to develop complete, accurate, and audit-ready validation documentation that qualifies new production lines, equipment, and processes. The position focuses on translating engineering execution, test results, and data into clear, structured, and comprehensive written materials that align with quality system requirements. The Validation Technical Writer ensures documentation supports on-time project startup and regulatory compliance while maintaining full traceability from initial requirements through execution and final results. This role contributes directly to producing audit-ready validation packages and to the development of standardized documentation templates that promote consistent and compliant validation practices in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities + Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering to develop complete, accurate, and audit-ready validation documentation for new production lines, equipment, and processes. + Draft, edit, and finalize validation protocols, reports, and summary documentation by translating engineering input, test results, and data into structured written materials. + Ensure full traceability from initial requirements through execution and final results across all validation documents. + Review data tables, attachments, and references for accuracy, consistency, and completeness, and correct any discrepancies. + Coordinate cross-functional reviews of validation documentation and drive the resolution of comments and feedback. + Proactively identify gaps or missing information in validation documentation and follow up with stakeholders to ensure closure. + Prepare complete validation packages that support audit readiness and regulatory compliance. + Ensure all documentation adheres to document control procedures and quality system standards. + Manage multiple documents and projects simultaneously while meeting project timelines and priorities. + Contribute to the development and refinement of standardized documentation templates to support consistent validation practices. + Support on-time project startup by delivering validation reports and documentation aligned with agreed timelines. Essential Skills + Proven technical writing experience with the ability to translate engineering input into structured, comprehensive documentation. + Experience developing validation documentation such as IQ, OQ, PQ, and equipment validation materials. + Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. + Ability to manage multiple documents and projects at once in a fast-paced environment. + Demonstrated capability in organizing, editing, and finalizing complex technical documents. + Familiarity with validation concepts and quality system requirements. + Ability to coordinate cross-functional reviews and incorporate feedback effectively. + Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project timelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Project management experience is a plus. + Experience working in a validation or regulated manufacturing environment is beneficial. + Exposure to or interest in food and bacteria-related processes is advantageous. + Comfort working with standardized documentation templates and document control systems. + Willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic, growing organization. Work Environment This role is based on-site in Building 1 in Lansing, MI, within a unique food and bacteria-focused environment. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility within standard business hours as long as it remains aligned with the engineering team. The role reports into the engineering function and operates under established document control and quality system standards. The position is structured as a 6-month contract, offering exposure to a growing organization and hands-on experience with validation activities in a production setting. After six months, employees gain access to an online learning platform, providing additional opportunities for professional development and continuous learning. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lansing, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
