Adecco is assisting a major client in their search for a Technical Support Representative in Depew, NY. This is a contract opportunity, offering weekly pay and an opportunity to expand your experience.   • :•The Technical Support Representative is primarily responsible for providing technical support for the organization's products.
This role involves researching and gathering information to support technical product questions, documenting product returns and complaints, and working with product teams to improve instrument quality. The representative will also perform dealer training and travel as needed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • :•+ Provide technical support for the organization's products.
+ Complete orders for upgrades, replacements and loaners to support customer needs. + Complete Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) documentation in MAX and provide support through Salesforce platform. + Interface daily with customers regarding repairs, billing, and warranty inquiries. + Research and gather information to support technical product questions, including interviewing subject matter experts. + Perform dealer training and travel to dealers, doctors offices, and trade shows as needed. + Research, organize, develop, modify, and compose clear, concise technical documents, including diagrams, flow charts, and graphics, to meet ISO and industry technical writing standards. Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered: + Two-year degree in electronics (or higher) with a background in technical support or equivalent experience + Mechanical and electronic repair experience + Background in ophthalmic instrumentation (preferred) + Experience with serial communication and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (preferred) + Excellent customer and internal communication skills + Ability to teach dealer technicians to repair, calibrate, and use ophthalmic instrumentation + Technical writing experience with Adobe (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + Continuous learning mindset for advancements in ophthalmic instrumentation and support methodologies
