This role will focus heavily on technical publications and ILS provisioning activities supporting Cat Defense and military customers , ensuring accurate delivery of technical documentation for government orders. This is a highly collaborative role with daily interaction across multiple teams including engineering, sales, product groups, service information, and customers. Key Responsibilities Oversee creation, development, and maintenance of technical manuals for military programs Manage ILS provisioning activities related to government orders Handle print redaction, media translation requests, and product manual compilation Manage document storage, transmission, and technical documentation processes Provide parts information and documentation support to military customers Support engineering projects using basic engineering techniques Conduct inspections, tests, and data analysis; summarize findings Maintain control charts and assist with root cause analysis Prepare reports, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation Support bill of material (BOM) and technical data submissions to government organizations Provide daily support to the Manager of Service Information & Technology Services Work Environment & Schedule Fully onsite - no remote work Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day (flexible schedule: e.g., 7-3 or 8-4) No travel required Highly collaborative, team-oriented environment Required Qualifications Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field (preferred baseline) 2-4 years of relevant experience (flexible depending on education) Basic understanding of engineering drawings and application of engineering technology Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel required) Basic familiarity with Adobe Acrobat/Nitro (PDF documentation) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree (0-2 years experience acceptable) Experience with Caterpillar publications or technical documentation systems (e.g., Teamcenter, EDS, SIS) Experience supporting military or government technical documentation Top Skills Technical Proficiency with Adobe Nitro / PDF tools and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel) Strong written and verbal communication Understanding of engineering drawings and documentation Soft Skills Strong time management and ability to work independently Teamwork and collaboration across diverse groups Adaptability and initiative Additional Candidate Notes Entry-level candidates, including recent engineering grads , will be considered Candidates with Associate's + significant experience (10-20 years) will also be considered Master's degree candidates are overqualified High school + military/veteran background may be considered on a case-by-case basis Interview Process One round, in-person interview #LI-VV1 #INDEPI
