Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development, drafting, and maintenance of technical and operational procedures. Our team relies on this role to ensure field-ready documentation that meets rigorous standards and safety requirements while supporting continuous improvement within utility or industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

Design, draft, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, Performance Support Notebooks, and manual updates used by craft personnel. Schedule and facilitate working sessions with subject matter experts, reviewers, and advisors to capture technical input and operational insights. Partner with project leads, stakeholders, and advisors to provide status updates and adhere to governance, review, and approval workflows. Conduct field engagement, including on-site visits and job walks, support basic image editing for documentation, and collaborate with media vendors.

Required:

Minimum of 5-8 years of technical writing experience, or 3-5 years of technical writing experience combined with strong utility, industrial, or field-operations exposure. Proven experience producing technical or procedural documentation focused on safety and compliance impacts. Ability to translate complex technical input into clear, field-usable language and facilitate working sessions with experienced craft subject matter experts. Experience collaborating across organizational units and strong organizational, writing, and version-control discipline.
