MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Write a technical narrative for a proposal (i.e., technical approach, past experience, management approach, etc.) Support overall proposal by providing quality deliverables on-time Utilize technical writing skills to respond to RFPs Review plans and specs of projects with procurement team to gain an understanding of the project requirements Attend preliminary design meetings to understand how a project is to be proposed Attend site-walks for potential bids Understand history of HHI and be able to determine best projects to put towards bids Maintain relationships with the owner representatives, design professionals, building officials, subcontractors, and suppliers Support Proposal Manager in maintaining company database of marketing materials including past project summaries, key personnel resumes, capability statements, and partner/JV agreements Complete Sources Sought response forms and submit them to the client Complete PLA response forms and submit them to the client Complete and update company personnel resumes.
Provide current resumes to both the procurement team and the construction team
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Understand and participate in the capture and proposal process. Support efforts of national and regional projects to ensure preparation and delivery of high quality, creative and compliant proposals. Take part in the development and production of marketing materials, proposals, and presentations. Must be able to work with government and non-government personnel in a professional and clear manner. Be able to work with different trades and construction focuses to ensure a safe environment without limiting the trades' ability to complete work. Must be able to properly communicate over the phone and in writing to upper management to include Owners, PM's, Superintendents, and Corporate Safety. Qualifications 3+ years of experience B.S. in in Communications, Journalism, English, or relevant industry Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented professional with ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Word Technical writing skills In-depth experience with the AP Style Guide Well-developed organizational skills Honest, dependable, and possess good interpersonal skills Must pass government security clearance standards Must pass pre-employment drug screen test if hired Good driving record, valid license - insurable through the company Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. Preferred Experience with preparing proposals for Department of Defense and other federal clients Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite Proven experience with Best-Value-Type proposals Shipley Accreditation Experience with Bluebeam
