Proposal Intern Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. 401(k) United States, Virginia, Alexandria 5285 Shawnee Road (Show on map) Apr 16, 2026 We are currently looking for a Document Editor Intern with Strong Desktop Publishing Skills to join our team in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an individual with strong writing, editing, and desktop publishing skills to support our proposal team. Working with our proposal managers and coordinators, this individual will ensure that documents are properly formatted using approved templates; are written in clear, concise language; and are free from grammatical and typographical errors. Ability to develop graphics is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications:

Technical Communications or English student with a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to edit documents for grammar, content, and active voice. Familiarity with editing documents using a defined style standard. Ability to consolidate input from various sources into a single, cohesive document. A solid understanding of how Word templates are built and the ability to format documents using Word styles. Ability to tailor templates so that they comply with specific formatting instructions. Desired Skills Interest in learning about proposal development techniques, processes, and methodologies.

Clearance:

Ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance. Please note: US Citizenship is needed for most positions.
