Job Description

FILM/VIDEO EDITOR
MIAMI, FL
m00m world Miami, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $22.00 - $30.80 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Flexible schedule Qualifications DaVinci Resolve Visual storytelling Video storytelling Storytelling Sound design editing Full Job Description We are making a full-length feature film in Miami. Our pipeline is original, our tools are our own, and the team we're building is unlike anything working in the entertainment industry right now. We need an Editor who is first and foremost a storyteller — someone who can take dialogue, performance, and raw sequences and shape them into something that lands.
The Role:
You will work in-house, directly alongside the writer/director and animation team to cut the film scene by scene. You are not just assembling footage. You are helping find the movie in the edit — where a scene breathes, where it cuts hard, where a look holds a beat longer than comfortable because the story earns it. This starts as a part-time engagement and can evolve into a full-time seat as the film and additional productions ramp. It's a hands-on, high-trust position. Your work will directly shape how this movie feels. What we're looking for: You are a story-first editor. You've cut narrative and dialogue-driven films and you know how to protect a scene's emotional core while trimming everything that doesn't serve it. You understand rhythm, tension, comedy timing, and how a cut can change a performance. You are deeply technical and fully proficient in DaVinci Resolve — comfortable living in the timeline, managing media, and working cleanly at speed. You know the difference between a cut that serves the story and one that just moves the plot along. You know how to build feeling into an assembly. During the edit you can temp in sound and score — pulling from packs, loops, and libraries to set tone, drive emotion, and push a scene forward before final sound and music arrive. Our film will have a professional sound designer and an original score; your job in the assembly phase is to make the storytelling land early, so we can feel what's working and what isn't. You work well under creative pressure and iterate without ego. Notes don't break you, they sharpen you and lead to a better outcome. You are based in or near Miami. This role is in-person and in-house. What this is
NOT:
This is not a remote contract or a hand-off freelance gig. This is a seat at the table on an original feature being made from the ground up. What this
IS:
A opportunity to be part of something genuinely new in filmmaking. A movie made with original technology, an original story, and a small team that cares deeply about doing it right. Your name will be attached to something that matters.
To apply:
Send us your reel or work samples featuring story and dialog scenes, and a few words about yourself. No lengthy cover letters. Just show us how you cut. m00m world —
