Video Editor (Short Form)

Video Editor (Short Form) Discovering the Jewish Jesus Full-Time, On-Site | Columbus (Dublin/Plain City), Ohio Area Discovering the Jewish Jesus, a national Christian television ministry, is seeking a full-time ON-SITE Short Video Editor in the Columbus, Ohio area. This position plays an important role in creating and preparing video content for digital and social media platforms. The Short Video Editor will be responsible for editing and producing short-form social media content, and helping manage the distribution of that content. The ideal candidate will have strong editing instincts, a good sense of pacing and storytelling, solid administrative skills, and the ability to learn and apply new technology quickly. The candidate must also have a Christian worldview and exemplify strong Christian values in alignment with the ministry's standard of conduct and statement of faith.

Typical Weekly Responsibilities Include:

Produce and edit short-form video content for social media platforms Shape short videos with strong pacing, clarity, and storytelling Assist with the administration and distribution of completed video content Support content preparation and delivery workflows as needed Film content when needed for ministry projects Work with leadership and team members to help ensure content is completed accurately and on schedule

Producing:

20-30 hours per week

Filming:

2-6 hours per week

Administration:

8 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience editing in Adobe Premiere Pro Strong organizational and administrative skills Experience with short-form editing for social media Ability to tell a story clearly and effectively in short video format Videography experience using DSLR-based cameras Ability to learn new and advanced technology quickly

Additional Pluses:

Experience working in a studio environment Experience in post-production workflows Familiarity with video distribution processes Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects Ability to work independently while collaborating well with a team
