About Brand House KC Brand House KC is a creative, marketing, and event management agency built to own outcomes, not just execute tasks. We produce brand identities, campaigns, and live events for clients across Kansas City — from charter schools and healthcare practices to major foundation activations. Our work is culturally intentional by design: we tell stories that actually reach the communities they're meant for, with a particular fluency in Black and brown audiences and the KC market. We're looking for a Content & Video Editor who can take raw footage and rough ideas and turn them into finished work that moves people — and who can do it fast, on deadline, and at the standard our clients pay for. What You'll Do Edit video content for social, web, and event recap deliverables — short-form vertical (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), long-form recaps, sizzle reels, testimonials, and promotional spots. Run day-of live capture and publishing at events: shooting or directing capture, then editing and pushing content while the event is still happening so clients see same-day output. Produce social-first content end to end — cutting, color, captions/subtitles, motion graphics, lower thirds, and audio cleanup. Maintain brand consistency across every deliverable, working from client brand guides so each piece sounds and looks like the brand it represents. Collaborate with the content and strategy team to translate campaign goals into shot lists, content calendars, and finished assets. Manage media organization — file naming, project archiving, and asset libraries so footage and final files are findable and protected. Hit deadlines under pressure , especially during event sprints, with multiple projects moving at once. What We're Looking For Required 2+ years of professional video editing experience (agency, in-house brand, freelance, or event production). Strong command of a primary editing suite — Adobe Premiere Pro preferred (or DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro). A reel or portfolio demonstrating finished short-form and long-form work. Solid eye for pacing, story, color, and sound — you know why a cut works, not just how to make it. Comfort shooting and editing on a tight turnaround, including live event environments. Reliable, organized, and accountable for your own deliverables. Strong Plus Motion graphics / animation (After Effects). Audio editing and mixing. Experience with social platform best practices and what performs natively on each. Photography and/or DSLR/mirrorless camera operation. Familiarity producing content for Black and brown audiences and the Kansas City market. Graphic design fundamentals (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva for fast turns).
