  • $45 /hr Posted May 08, 2026 Our CPG / eComm client is seeking a Social Media Video Editor!
This role is full remote for 2-3 weeks, starting on May 15th or 18th. Must be able to work PST hours to be considered. This candidate will have experience creating direct-response creative for fast-paced digital campaigns. You will edit and version high-performing ads across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Snap and partner closely with strategists, creatives, and growth marketers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Edit high-performing paid social video ads with a direct-response mindset: strong hooks, fast pacing, retention-focused editing, and clear CTAs
  • Create motion graphics, animated typography, kinetic text, transitions, and platform-native visual treatments for paid social campaigns
  • Design static and motion creative optimized for Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snap, and emerging social platforms
  • Transform influencer, creator, and UGC footage into polished, conversion-focused ads while maintaining authenticity and a native feel
  • Rapidly build and iterate ad variants for creative testing, performance optimization, and scaling top-performing concepts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with growth strategists, creative leads, copywriters, and marketers to translate briefs into high-performing creative
  • Contribute ideas for new hooks, formats, editing styles, and creative concepts informed by platform trends, audience behavior, and performance insights
  • Optimize assets for platform specs, mobile-first viewing, sound-off consumption, and evolving social best practices
  • Maintain organized project files and workflows while managing multiple fast-turn projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 3+ years of experience editing paid social video and designing performance creative, ideally for a DTC, subscription, wellness, or tech brand
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating direct-response creative performance across Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Snap
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Proven motion graphics experience including animated text, compositing, transitions, and social-first visual systems
  • Deep understanding of platform-native creative trends, hooks, pacing, and conversion-focused storytelling
  • Experience working in high-volume, rapid-iteration creative environments with aggressive testing cadences
  • A strong eye for typography, composition, color, and design systems across digital ad formats
  • Comfort receiving performance feedback and data, and iterating quickly based on results
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, versions, and deadlines simultaneously
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience working closely with growth marketing or paid acquisition teams
  • Ability to write or refine ad copy, hooks, on-screen text, and CTAs
  • Familiarity with creative analytics and testing platforms such as Motion, Triple Whale, or Northbeam
  • Experience using Figma for concepting, storyboards, or creative handoff workflows
  • Background editing for wellness, food, lifestyle, or membership/subscription brands
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows, generative tools, or emerging creative automation platforms
