NON EXEMPT JOB DESCRIPTION
The Broadcast Producer/Videographer is responsible for planning, producing, filming, and editing video content to highlight the achievements, initiatives, and daily life of the district's schools. This role supports the district's mission by delivering high-quality visual storytelling across broadcast, digital, and social media platforms. The position requires creativity, technical skill, and a strong understanding of multimedia communications to effectively engage students, parents, staff, and the community.
The successful candidate will be:
  • Proficient in operating professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Skilled in editing, using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
  • Knowledgeable of live streaming platforms and production workflows.
  • Familiar with social media platforms and digital storytelling strategies.
The candidate will also have:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage video production schedules to meet deadlines for internal and external communications.
  • Work with school administrators, teachers, and students to coordinate filming schedules.
  • Maintain video equipment and manage media archives for future use.
  • Assist with media coverage of district events and press conferences.
  • Provide video content to support district marketing and public relations efforts.
  • Support the communications team in crisis or emergency communications when needed.
Support mobile production operations and assist in maintaining equipment on the remote production truck.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, New Media or other related field from an accredited college or university. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant communications experience stretching across broadcast, digital, social, events planning and project management.
  • Experience in organizing public information and establishing public and community relationships.
  • Excellent communication and broadcast writing skills with the ability to regularly produce content across diverse platforms Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
