Videographer (Part-Time, Seasonal) Company Overview ION Solar is a full-service residential solar provider operating across the Northeast, with two Connecticut offices powering our summer sales season in New Haven and Hartford. We design, install, and service solar systems for homeowners across CT, MA, RI, and NY — and our summer field team is the engine behind that growth. Job Overview We're hiring a part-time Videographer to capture and edit content across our two CT offices throughout the summer sales season. You'll be embedded with our sales team — filming morning meetings, knock days, ride-alongs, and team events — and turning that footage into content for social and internal use. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Videographer to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing engaging video content that highlights our brand, projects, and customer stories. Your expertise in videography and post-production will help us communicate our mission effectively and inspire audiences to embrace renewable energy solutions. Responsibilities Shoot footage at both New Haven and Hartford offices Capture daily team meetings, field activity, and team events Edit short-form content for social media and internal team use Plan weekly content alongside leadership Film high-quality footage for promotional videos, customer testimonials, and project showcases using professional filming equipment Edit videos with precision using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut to create compelling visual stories Develop motion graphics, animations, and visual effects that enhance video content and align with brand standards Manage all aspects of post-production including color correction, sound editing, and visual effects to ensure polished final products Collaborate with marketing and project teams to understand content needs and deliver creative concepts that resonate with target audiences Maintain organized digital archives of footage, project files, and assets for easy retrieval and future use Stay current with industry trends in videography, photography, and digital media to continuously improve content quality Qualifications Required Qualifications Demonstrated shooting and editing experience (reel required) Proficiency with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Own camera gear (mirrorless or cinema camera) Reliable transportation to commute between New Haven and Hartford Available 3 days per week throughout the summer season Preferred Qualifications Drone pilot (Part 107 certification a plus) Gimbal and motion graphics experience Prior experience filming sales teams, sports, or live events Proven experience in videography, video production, and editing with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator), Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and other editing tools Skilled in photography techniques and equipment operation for capturing high-quality images and footage Strong understanding of post-production workflows including color grading, sound editing, and file management Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments while managing multiple projects simultaneously How to Apply Send a reel or 2-3 portfolio examples to matt.louis@ionsolar.com along with a brief introduction.
