Job Description

Freelance Videographer — CEO Content & Brand Media Job Summary We are seeking a skilled, creative Freelance Videographer to accompany our CEO on-site—and occasionally off-site—to capture high-quality video content for social media, brand storytelling, and investor relations . This is primarily a content capture role , not a traditional post-production position. You will work closely with the CEO and our creative production team to build a strong library of compelling footage that can be transformed into short-form social content, founder-led videos, investor-facing media, promotional assets, and other brand content. You should be equally comfortable capturing a polished talking-head video, following the CEO through a workday, documenting meetings or events, and recognizing spontaneous moments that could become great content. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for composition and storytelling, understands modern social media content, and can capture professional footage without making every shoot feel overly staged or produced. Responsibilities Accompany the CEO on-site and, when needed, at off-site meetings, events, appearances, travel, or other relevant locations to capture content. Film high-quality talking-head content, B-roll, behind-the-scenes footage, meetings, events, lifestyle/business moments, and spontaneous content opportunities . Proactively identify moments, environments, conversations, and activities that could translate into compelling social or brand content. Set up and operate professional cameras, microphones, lighting, stabilization equipment, and other production gear. Capture clean, professional audio and properly exposed, well-composed footage in a variety of environments. Work with the CEO to efficiently capture planned talking points, scripted content, interviews, and organic commentary. Capture a variety of angles, framing, close-ups, environmental shots, and supporting B-roll so our creative team has ample material to work with. Understand the needs of vertical short-form content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) while also capturing footage suitable for websites, presentations, investor communications, and longer-form media. Collaborate with our creative production team to understand upcoming campaigns, content priorities, shot lists, and footage needs. Organize, label, and transfer footage efficiently so our production team can quickly turn raw footage into finished creative. Maintain discretion and professionalism while filming around executives, employees, clients, investors, meetings, and potentially confidential business environments. Maintain consistency in visual quality while adapting quickly to changing schedules, locations, lighting conditions, and content opportunities. What We're Looking For Proven professional videography experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality commercial, corporate, lifestyle, social media, or founder-led content. Strong experience filming people and personalities , particularly talking-head, interview, documentary-style, or behind-the-scenes content. Excellent understanding of composition, lighting, camera movement, exposure, and audio. Comfortable working in fast-moving environments where not every shot can be planned in advance. Ability to make subjects feel comfortable and natural on camera. Strong instinct for B-roll and visual storytelling —you should naturally recognize the shots an editor will need to build a compelling finished piece. Familiarity with current social media content styles and an understanding of what makes footage engaging in short-form formats. Experience operating professional or cinema-quality cameras, wireless microphones, lighting equipment, gimbals, and related production gear. Highly organized and able to properly manage, label, and deliver large volumes of footage. Reliable, punctual, flexible, and comfortable working closely with a CEO and executive team. Professional judgment and discretion are essential. Editing Experience Advanced editing is not the primary responsibility of this position , as footage will generally be provided to our creative production team for editing and distribution. However, familiarity with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar software is valuable because it demonstrates an understanding of how footage will ultimately be used in post-production. Ideal Candidate You don't just point a camera at someone and hit record. You understand how to capture the pieces of a story . When the CEO walks into a meeting, visits a location, speaks with a team member, prepares for an event, or has an insightful moment between takes, you're thinking about the establishing shot, close-up, reaction, movement, detail shots, clean audio, and supporting footage our editors will need later. We're looking for someone who can become a reliable content capture partner for our CEO and creative team , helping us consistently document the people, ideas, environments, and moments behind the brand. If you're passionate about visual storytelling, founder-led content, and capturing authentic business moments with a polished cinematic eye, we'd love to see your work. To apply, please include your portfolio/reel and examples of talking-head, social media, corporate, lifestyle, or documentary-style footage you've personally filmed.
