Looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and motivated Videographer & Video Editor to help shoot and edit engaging video content across social media platforms, with a focus on YouTube channel growth (vlogs, structured videos, tutorials) and short-form content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts). This is an ideal opportunity for a film/communications student, recent graduate, or freelance creator looking to build their portfolio, gain hands-on experience, and work on flexible, project-based shoots.
Key Responsibilities On-Location Filming:
Attend shoots to film high-quality footage for YouTube videos and vertical footage (or framed for vertical crop) for short-form content.
YouTube Video Editing:
Edit full-length YouTube videos with smooth pacing, clear storytelling, color grading, audio leveling, title cards, and engaging visual hooks.
Short-Form Content Creation:
Repurpose YouTube footage or shoot dedicated clips to edit into punchy, high-engagement Shorts, Reels, and TikToks featuring trending audio, captions, and text overlays.
Creative Collaboration:
Work together on shot lists, thumbnail ideas, visual themes, and video concepts prior to shoot days.
Travel:
On-location shoots will primarily take place around Orange County, with occasional travel to Los Angeles or San Diego (advance notice provided).

Equipment:
Equipment may also be provided or access to your own filming gear (DSLR/mirrorless camera or high-end smartphone with stabilization/gimbal and wireless mic setup) and editing software.

Understanding of YouTube pacing, storytelling hooks, retention tactics, and thumbnail/title synergy.
