Job Description

Demand Writer Yerushalmi Law Firm - Beverly Hills, CA Yerushalmi Law Firm is seeking a Demand Writer to join our growing legal team. This full-time position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about helping others, and has experience managing personal injury. Job Description We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and driven Demand Writer to join our team. This is a high-impact role at the core of our firm's success — you will be responsible for crafting the compelling, medically grounded demand packages that define how we fight for our clients. The ideal candidate is a masterful writer who thinks strategically, understands the medical and legal nuances of serious injury cases, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This is not an entry-level position — we are looking for someone ready to own the demand-writing process from start to finish. Responsibilities Own the demand writing process end-to-end — independently drafting comprehensive, persuasive demand packages for cases ranging from $100K to multi-million-dollar valuations. Analyze and synthesize medical records , including records related to traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, orthopedic injuries, and other complex, serious conditions, to build a compelling medical narrative. Interview clients directly to capture the full human impact of their injuries — articulating how their lives have been permanently altered in a way that resonates with adjusters, defense counsel, and mediators. Collaborate closely with attorneys to align demand strategy with case theory, liability posture, and anticipated defense arguments. Conduct thorough research on injuries, treatment protocols, long-term prognosis, and applicable case law to support and substantiate each demand. Organize and manage case files , ensuring all supporting documentation — medical records, bills, expert opinions, photographs, and client statements — is complete, accurate, and strategically sequenced. Meet firm deadlines and demand timelines with consistency, managing a pipeline of multiple active cases simultaneously without sacrificing quality. Mentor and guide junior demand writers or assistants as the team grows, upholding the firm's standard of excellence. Qualifications Minimum 2-4 years of demand writing experience in a personal injury law firm, or equivalent experience in legal writing, medical record review, or claims analysis. Exceptional writing ability — you can turn medical complexity and human suffering into a clear, compelling, and persuasive narrative. A writing sample will be required. Strong command of medical terminology and the ability to quickly master new injury types, treatment modalities, and diagnostic findings. Deep familiarity with the personal injury demand process , including the structure of liability, general damages, special damages, and future loss arguments. Highly organized and detail-oriented , with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal — able to interview clients with empathy and professionalism, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and case managers. Tenacious, self-motivated, and results-driven — you hold yourself to a high standard and take ownership of your work product. A genuine passion for advocating for injured clients and a commitment to securing the best possible outcomes on their behalf.
