Job Description
About the Role The Royalty Family is looking for a creative, experienced, and highly engaging YouTube Writer to develop compelling scripts and story ideas for our video content. The ideal candidate understands YouTube storytelling, knows how to capture and maintain an audience's attention, and can turn ideas into entertaining, engaging, and easy-to-follow scripts. This role is best suited for someone who understands YouTube culture, viral content, audience retention, and family entertainment . Responsibilities Write engaging scripts for YouTube videos Develop creative video concepts, storylines, hooks, and talking points Create strong openings designed to capture viewers' attention Structure scripts to maintain audience engagement and retention Research topics, trends, competitors, and relevant YouTube content Collaborate with producers, editors, and the creative team Adapt writing based on creative direction and feedback Revise and refine scripts to improve pacing, clarity, and entertainment value Help develop recurring concepts, series, characters, challenges, and storylines Stay current with YouTube trends and emerging content formats Use AI tools when appropriate to support research, brainstorming, and the writing process Qualifications Proven experience writing for YouTube, digital media, entertainment, or similar content Strong storytelling and creative writing skills Understanding of YouTube audience retention and engagement Ability to write attention-grabbing hooks and compelling storylines Strong research skills and attention to detail Ability to adapt writing style to different video concepts Familiarity with YouTube trends, creators, and digital entertainment Experience working with creative teams is a plus Comfortable using AI-powered writing and research tools Portfolio or writing samples required Location Requirement Candidates must be local to Los Angeles, California. This position requires someone who is able to work with the team locally. Candidates outside the Los Angeles area who are unable to work locally will not be considered. Compensation $80,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications. About The Royalty Family This position will support the creative and video content produced for The Royalty Family , a popular family entertainment YouTube channel.
