Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, detailed oriented, and organized Customs Entry Writer to process ocean, air, and ground customs entries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and compliance protocols. You will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate entry filings, communicating with clients, government agencies, and internal teams. Responsibilities Prepare and file customs entries for import shipments using ABI software. Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS). Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. Communicate with clients, freight forwarders, and government agencies (CBP, FDA, USDA, etc.). Monitor clearance status and proactively resolve any delays or issues. Maintain accurate and organized records of all customs transactions. Stay current with regulatory changes and ensure adherence to all compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and customer satisfaction. Verify and ensure tariff selection and calculations are correct. Requirements Experience as a Customs Entry Writer or in a similar customs brokerage role. Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and import documentation. Proficiency with ACE, ABI, and customs brokerage software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
