Job Title:
Customs Entry Writer A Customs Brokerage is looking for an experienced Customs Brokerage Entry Writer to join a team of fully committed professionals in providing the highest possible standards of compliance and service to our clients.Key Responsibilities:
Working directly with our team to clear shipments through US Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA). Ensuring timely coordination of cargo releases and perform accurate billing. Review import shipment documentation and information for accuracy and communicate to relevant parties for any missing information or discrepancies. Request necessary documentation such as Commercial invoices, packing list, AWB/BOL, certificates of origin, TSCA, phytosanitary certificates, AD/CVD non-reimbursement statements, FDA registrations, etc. Process import US Customs documentation includingCF 7501, CF
7512 and other PGA declarations such as but not limited to FDA, DOT, FCC, F&W, TTB, USDA, etc. Assist clients with posting bonds, obtaining bonds, insurance, and other trade-related requirements. Be our clients' trusted advisor, educating them on U.S. Customs and PGA requirements, preparing all documentation in accordance with company's SOP, industry standards, and government regulations. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience in customs entry writing Be well versed in US Customs and PGA requirements Must be knowledgeable of air and ocean carrier, other transportation companies like trucking companies. Previous experience with Freight Forwarders, Warehouse, and 3PLs Understanding of NVOCC regulations Strong computer skills, including data entry and EDI Must have excellent verbal and written communications and computer skills.
