Search Content Writer to join our team with a focus on the C ommercial I nsurance sector. This role combines expertise in storytelling, digital marketing, and the strategic use of AI-assisted tools to produce high-impact , high-quality content that drives traffic, engagement, and conversions for our C ommercial business initiatives. As a key member of the SEO team, you will leverage advanced AI tools, to augment your copywriting talents, enabling the creation of scalable, personalized, and data-driven content. This role emphasizes the integration of AI to enhance ideation, streamline workflows, and optimize content performance, ensuring alignment with GEICO's brand voice, marketing objectives , and evolving industry standards. In addition to driving traditional SEO strategies, this role will focus on advancing GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) initiatives, ensuring content is structured to meet modern search intent and deliver value across emerging search platforms. You will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and cross-functional teams to create content that not only ranks well but also resonates with audiences in a competitive digital landscape. Search Content Writer will operate in a collaborative environment, utilizing cutting-edge tools, technologies, and insights to maintain GEICO's leadership in the digital C ommercial I nsurance space. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about blending creativity with technology and have a proven track record in SEO and A I Search -driven content creation.
Key Responsibilities Content Development and Optimization:
Create and deliver high-quality, strategic copy for the C ommercial insurance business, including landing pages, blog posts , long-form SEO articles and more , tailored to the target audience.
AI Integration:
Utilize AI-powered tools to streamline content creation workflows, generate ideas, and optimize outputs while maintaining brand voice and high-quality standards. SEO and
GEO/ AEO
Strategy:
Develop content that adheres to traditional SEO principles (e.g., keyword optimization, on-page SEO) and incorporate emerging
GEO/ AEO
strategies to meet search intent and perform effectively on voice search and answer engines.
Performance Analysis:
Track, analyze, and report on the performance of C ommercial insurance-focused SEO content efforts. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, improve results, and adapt messaging based on customer behavior and search trends.
Content Optimization:
Review and refine AI-generated content for tone, consistency, and effectiveness, ensuring all outputs meet brand, high- quality, and SEO and
GEO/ AEO
standards.
Trend Monitoring:
Stay informed about Google algorithm updates, AI advancements, and trends in the commercial insurance SEO ecosystem. Assess risks and opportunities specific to the sector and apply best practices to maintain a competitive content edge.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement opportunities to enhance content creation workflows, including refining AI prompts, developing reusable frameworks, and establishing structured processes for efficiency and scalability.
Brand Alignment :
Ensure all content adheres to GEICO's brand guidelines, voice, and messaging standards while addressing the unique needs of the C ommercial insurance audience.
Collaboration:
Partner with M arketing, Product , and cross-functional teams to support c ontent creation , content planning, and execution timelines, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and legal compliance .
Data-Driven Experimentation:
Foster a data-informed culture by testing new content ideas within the C ommercial insurance space, gathering insights, and implementing scalable solutions to drive business growth.
Workflow Coordination:
Facilitate the creation and publication of online articles and digital content by collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing workflows, uploading content to the internal CMS when needed, and ensuring timely delivery in alignment with brand and SEO standards.
Key Qualifications:
Experience:
4-6 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably within an agency or in-house creative team, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse work across digital formats.
SEO Expertise:
Proven experience in creating SEO-driven content, including keyword optimization, on-page SEO, and a solid understanding of search intent, topical depth, and structured formatting.
AEO Expertise :
Strong understanding of emerging GEO and AEO strategies, with experience in optimizing content for LLMs , structuring information to align with answer engine algorithms, and meeting modern search intent.
AI Proficiency:
Demonstrated experience using AI-powered tools t o enhance content creation workflows, ideation, and optimization.
Content Strategy:
Strong ability to translate marketing briefs and strategic concepts into clear, engaging, and impactful written content tailored to specific audience needs.
Analytical Skills:
Experience tracking and analyzing content performance metrics, with the ability to derive actionable insights to refine strategies and improve results.
Collaboration:
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with designers, marketers, and SEO specialists to achieve campaign objectives .
Technical Knowledge:
U nderstanding of Google algorithm updates, SEO trends, and the C ommercial I nsurance SEO ecosystem, with the ability to assess risks and opportunities. Attention to

Location:
Bethesda or NYC; this is a hybrid role with a 3-day in office requirement Annual Salary $91,225.00 - $141,450.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations. At this time, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
