Job Description

Design-Build Sales & Project Manager 1575 Thomas Lane, Blacksburg, VA 24060 $60,000
  • $70,000 a year
  • Full-time $60,000
  • $70,000 a year
  • Full-time Back to Nature is growing, and we're seeking a skilled Design‑Build Sales & Project Manager focused on outdoor living spaces to join our team.
Our work extends far beyond structural builds, and this is a unique role as there are two major components. You will be responsible for selling custom outdoor living projects, including decks, screened porches, and covered outdoor structures. You will also have an opportunity to collaborate with other team members on projects they are selling. Because of the custom nature of the sales process, design experience is a strong plus, especially when helping clients visualize concepts and materials. You will also manage the full lifecycle of the outdoor living space projects you sell. This means you will guide clients from initial consultation and estimating through the scheduling process, subcontractor coordination, project oversight, quality control, and final walkthrough. You will not perform the installations, but you will ensure the projects are executed following Back to Nature standards while maintaining exceptional communication with your clients as well as both internal and sub-contractor installation crews. As this division continues to scale, you will be expected to sell and manage $1M+ in annual project volume within your first year. About Back to Nature Landscaping We're known for blending natural beauty with expert design and craftsmanship to create outdoor living spaces that feel like your own private retreat. Our team brings together natural materials, thoughtful design, and skilled craftsmanship to build custom decks, railings, under‑deck roof systems, sheds, fences, and other outdoor structures. Every project is crafted with precision and intention — creating outdoor spaces that are both beautifully designed and built to last. Our work is only possible because of the people behind it. That's why our culture is grounded in DIRT , the values that guide how we show up every day.
