Design Consultant

We are a well-established custom drapery workroom located in Altamonte Springs, Florida, seeking a full time Window Treatment Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in custom window treatments including draperies, top treatments, and cornices. However, we are also open to training the right person who demonstrates strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in the custom window treatment industry. Duties include

• Working with clients (interior designers) on window treatment specifications, Preparing quotations for window treatments, Preparing work orders for the workroom, Providing customer service to assigned clients.

Knowledge / Experience

• Previous experience in window treatment sales and or interior decorating preferred Familiarity with drapery styles, fabric types, and hardware and hard treatment options a plus.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Willingness to learn and be trained in product knowledge and design concepts (if not already experienced) Must be computer savvy and able to work on Windows based computer, including Email, Documents and spread sheets. You will be required to learn two proprietary software programs that we use in our business Experience reading measure sheets, blue prints, and floor plans Abilities

• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/8". Ability to perform basic math proficiently . Ability to sketch window treatments to scale. Strong ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English. Self motivated, ability to work independently and productively.
