In-Home Sales & Design Consultant Luxury Window Coverings & Motorization Specialist Fashion Interiors Location Primary Territory:
South, Central & North Orange County Additional opportunities available in South Bay and select Los Angeles areas Candidates must be willing to travel within approximately 30 miles of our Irvine showroom for in-home sales appointments. Additional consideration will be given to candidates willing to assist clients in the South Bay area and meet clients at our Redondo Beach showroom when needed. Our flagship showroom is located in Irvine, California, with a second showroom in Redondo Beach. Our Irvine showroom features an extensive selection of luxury window coverings, drapery, shading, and motorization displays, allowing clients to experience products firsthand in a professional design environment.

The Opportunity Fashion Interiors is seeking an experienced In-Home Sales & Design Consultant to join our growing luxury window covering and motorization company. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and professional sales consultant who enjoys: Consultative selling Interior design Luxury home environments Technology and motorization systems Building long-term client relationships Managing projects from consultation through completion Our company provides company-supported marketing programs designed to generate qualified warm leads, along with strong operational and showroom support. The ideal candidate is confident, detail-oriented, organized, technologically capable, and comfortable managing high-value custom projects with professionalism and precision. Responsibilities Conduct professional in-home, showroom, and virtual design consultations based on client preference and project needs. Many initial consultations and product presentations take place in our beautifully designed Irvine showroom, which showcases a wide range of luxury window treatment and motorization solutions. Develop customized shading and window treatment solutions tailored to each client's functional, aesthetic, and budgetary goals Present and explain product features, fabrics, motorization systems, automation options, and installation considerations with confidence and accuracy Prepare detailed and accurate quotations, proposals, contracts, and project documentation Review all measurements, specifications, installation notes, and order details thoroughly before order submission Coordinate and communicate effectively with installers, project management, vendors, and administrative staff to ensure smooth project execution Maintain organized client records, communication logs, follow-up schedules, and project updates within our CRM and sales management systems Build strong relationships through exceptional follow-up, communication, and customer service Generate referral and repeat business opportunities through outstanding client experiences Participate in ongoing product training, sales meetings, and technical education sessions Project Accuracy & Detail Management Because our products are fully customized and made-to-order, accuracy and communication are critical components of this role.
Our consultants are expected to:
Document project specifications thoroughly Communicate clearly with clients and internal team members Review measurements and order details carefully Coordinate effectively with installers and administration Maintain organized and complete project records throughout the sales and ordering process Attention to detail is extremely important, as errors in custom window treatment orders can be costly and difficult to correct once products enter production. The ideal candidate is both sales-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects professionally from consultation through completion. Qualifications & Attributes Minimum 2 years of experience in consultative in-home sales, design sales, or window covering sales Strong closing ability with proven sales performance and follow-up discipline Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities Comfortable managing custom project specifications, contracts, measurements, and client communications with accuracy Technically proficient with CRM systems, tablets/iPads, spreadsheets, email communication, and digital scheduling tools Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal support staff and installation teams Passion for interior design, architecture, home technology, and luxury home environments Professional appearance, emotionally mature demeanor, and positive attitude Experience with blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, or motorization systems strongly preferred Saturday availability required Additional Preferred Experience Experience or familiarity with the following is a plus: Hunter Douglas Lutron Somfy Smart home integration systems Motorized shading systems Drapery and soft treatment design Why Join Fashion Interiors?
