Design Drafter

B & B Gates & Supply Inc is a growing metal manufacturing and agricultural supply company based near Doon Iowa Job Summary B & B Gates & Supply is seeking a Full-time Design Drafter. The ideal candidate will assist our Fabrication Manager with new drawings, drawing modifications, and will become an integral part of our growing manufacturing business. This position will work out of our shop located near Doon Iowa. Hours are Monday -Friday 7 am - 5 pm. Duties Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks. Collaborate with project managers to gather requirements and provide design solutions. Ensure all specifications are met for every design and translated into functional blueprints Verify drawings for accuracy before production begins Draft modifications to existing designs based on feedback Assist in the preparation of project documentation Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions for easy access by team members Create work orders including required materials to manufacture products. Experience Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, SolidWorks. Experience with mechanical design principles and practices. Knowledge of 2D animation techniques is beneficial but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills.
