Description:
Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks. Collaborate with customers to ensure designs meet customer requirements and specifications. Prepare technical sales drawings for customer approval before manufacturing. Review and check all designs and drawings for accuracy and manufacturability before manufacturing. Create bill of materials using ERP system. Assist in the development and testing of prototypes to validate design performance and functionality Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all design iterations and revisions. Consult with engineering and mfg. teams, ensuring designs are feasible and meet engineering standards. Provide technical expertise and support to production and quality teams during the manufacturing process. Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues and implement corrective actions. Optimize designs for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing innovative design solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, Drafting, or related field. 2-3 years of experience in product design and development for manufacturing, including sheet metal and machined parts. Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus. 2-3 years of experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
