Job Description:
Die Setter/Press Technician IperionX is seeking a Die Setter/Press Technician to support our maintenance and production teams in the manufacturing of titanium products. This role is responsible for setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic presses used for making powder metallurgy compacts. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in die setting, strong collaborative skills for dynamic teams, and the ability to work on multiple types of manufacturing and laboratory equipment.Requirements and qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required Minimum of 3 years' experience in die setting operations of mechanical and hydraulic presses Possess the desire to advance and develop your own knowledge and skill set Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs occasionally, must be able to ascend and descend ladders, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl Ability to safely operate forklifts and other heavy machinery as required Ability to wear a respirator during certain tasks Ability to use Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams Employment responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Setup, cleaning, operation, adjustment, and troubleshooting of mechanical and hydraulic uniaxial presses Perform maintenance, repair, cleaning and general care of equipment Work closely with the maintenance and production team on the evaluation and development of new concepts and products Support the production team with the installation, commissioning, setup, maintenance, and operation of pressing equipment Provide feedback to production teams for process improvements Assist with the development of best practices for pressing operations Educate and train others in the setup and operation of uniaxial presses Work with potentially hazardous materials and equipment such as inert gases, flammable gases, compressed gases, metal powders, hydraulic equipment, machining equipment, and high temperature equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency while developing and maintaining equipment and procedures Maintain and improve equipment through analysis of data, preventive maintenance procedures, predictive maintenance practices and reliability centered strategies Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and adherence to company policies and procedures.
