Diesel Fleet Mechanic (must have 2+ years experience)

Growing motorcoach company is seeking an experienced Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team and help keep our fleet operating safely and reliably. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our commitment to top-tier service. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines Conduct mechanical repairs including transmissions, air brake systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, and hydraulics Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately Inspect vehicles for compliance with safety standards and perform alignments, tire services, and brake repairs Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs and inspections Assist with equipment assembly, fabrication projects, and heavy lifting tasks as required Requirements Minimum of two years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in heavy equipment repair Dealership experience preferred but not required; extensive automotive diagnostics knowledge essential Proficiency with schematics, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and alignment devices Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in fleet maintenance.
