Job Description

All Access Rigging Company, located in Chester, MD, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician candidate to join our dynamic and growing Bridge Inspection Equipment Rental Services Company.
Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties Include:
Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, PTO, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units. Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts. Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test-drives, adjusting controls and systems. Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. Participates in pre-trip and post-trip inspections to understand potential maintenance issues. Develops Work Orders and maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs in Company software programs. Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Maintain a clean and well-organized shop. Contains costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications. Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Starting Wage:
Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience
Benefits:
After 90 probationary period- health care, 401
K Work Hours:
Day, night, and occasional weekends. Some overnight travel may be required.

Full Time Mandatory Job Requirements:
Must have a clean Motor Vehicle driver abstract Minimum 5 years as a diesel mechanic/technician High school diploma or equivalent preferred Fluent in computer use and Microsoft software Strong work ethic, well organized and self-motivated Ability to stand, sit, climb, bend and stretch under potentially adverse conditions over extended periods of time and lift over 100lbs
