Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing heavy duty trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy duty truck maintenance, diagnostics, and repair to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. You will work on various equipment, including tractor-trailers, and be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services on commercial vehicles Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed. Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies. Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehiclesEducation, Experience and Licensing Requirements:
Valid Driver's License Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system and the mechanisms of a diesel engine In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools Excellent problem-solving skills Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software Effective collaboration and communication skills Join us in maintaining our fleet's reliability and performance while contributing to a safe working environment!Job Type:
