Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including commercial and support vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with automotive diagnostics, and proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. This role performs all mechanical duties to include preventive maintenance, road calls and major overhauls. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, and brake repairs on gasoline and diesel engines. Repair fleet vehicles as needed, use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot small engines, automotive components, electrical and hydraulic systems. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues Maintain detailed service records of repairs and maintenance performed Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures established for DOT Compliance and company workplace safety policies. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician with a strong background in automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance Dealership experience is highly desirable Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for diagnostics and repairs Knowledge of vehicle maintenance including shocks & struts, wheel alignment, tire service, and suspension systems Experience working with hydraulics, HVAC systems on vehicles/machinery, transmissions, air brakes, and hydraulics systems Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
