Diesel Mechanic

CWS is hiring a Diesel Mechanic . As a Service Shop Mechanic/Technician , you will play a key role in keeping our fleet of trucks and trailers running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position in our maintenance team, where safety , initiative , and attention to detail are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the job description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 1-2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance. Valid state-issued driver's license. Valid class A license is a PLUS Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficient in using mechanic's tools and equipment Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Ability to work independently and/or as a team member Excellent attention to detail and time management skills ASE certifications are a PLUS (willing to pay more in salary with proof of certificate)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend English and Spanish. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees, supervision, and management of the organization.
