This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on box truck trailers and related fleet equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with trailer systems, diesel equipment, and roll-up trailer doors, along with the ability to identify maintenance concerns proactively to minimize downtime and keep equipment operating efficiently. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on box truck trailers and fleet equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, and lighting system issues Repair and maintain trailer components including axles, hubs, wheel seals, brakes, and suspension systems Service and repair roll-up trailer doors, including tracks, springs, latches, panels, cables, and alignment issues Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets DOT and safety compliance standards Complete structural repairs and basic welding/fabrication as needed Identify wear items and maintenance concerns before failures occur Accurately document inspections, repairs, and completed maintenance work Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work closely with operations and management teams to prioritize equipment readiness and reduce downtime Qualifications Previous experience as a Diesel Technician, Trailer Technician, or Fleet Maintenance Technician Experience working on box truck trailers and related equipment Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures and repair diagnostics Familiarity with trailer brake systems, suspension systems, lighting, and electrical troubleshooting Experience repairing and servicing roll-up trailer doors strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and repair procedures Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Relevant certifications are a plus, but not required Relevant certifications are a plus, but not required Apply today!
