Position Summary:
Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc. as directed/instructed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, wipe down storage areas, etc.) Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc. Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas Collect and carry out garbage Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations Prep food supplies for the next meal Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information We seek a positive, professional Registered Dietitian. Position Summary:
The primary purpose of your job position is responsible for the planning and implementation of the nutrition care of the patients in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, clinical guidelines, and policies and procedures. Provides oversight in coordination with the Culinary Services Manager to ensure that safe and accurate food service is provided to the patients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in dietetics or nutrition related field Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a dietitian in this state. Two or more years of experience in a skilled nursing care facility (preferred).
Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures and the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in the long-term care facility. Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Dietary Department, its programs, and activities. Coordinate dietary services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Nursing, Housekeeping, Social Services, etc.) Develop and maintain written dietary policies and procedures. Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dietary service areas; perform regular inspections of dietary service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
