Dietary Aide (Full Time - $17-$19/hour)

Thompson House is a small, non-profit rehab/long-term care facility in Brattleboro with a family-like environment. We are transitioning from a contracted service to an in-house dietary service and are thrilled at the opportunity to build our team. We are looking for FT Day Shift 6am-2pm (32 hours a week) and PT 12pm-8pm (24 hours a week) dietary aide to join our team. Both posistions require every other weekend ! Thompson House offers full benefits and multiple bonus opportunities through the year.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents/patients in a healthcare setting
• Follow dietary restrictions and guidelines provided by healthcare professionals
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area
• Provide excellent customer service to residents/patients

Skills:

• Culinary skills: Ability to cook and prepare meals following recipes and dietary guidelines
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
• Experience working in a hospital or nursing home setting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents/patients
