Job Description

Comanche County Medical Center is a rural Critical Access Hospital serving the people of Comanche County. We offer a community-minded work environment with competitive wages and benefits, friendly staff, and family environment. We are currently seeking a Dietary Aide in Full-Time status for our Dietary department. This is a varied schedule as our Cafeteria begins serving breakfast at 7:30 AM and finishes serving dinner at 7 PM. Shifts would typically be 8 hours, any day of the week.
This role will:
Perform a variety of tasks that facilitate the provision of food services and nutrition support to patients, employees, and visitors. MUST have basic Food Handlers Certification within 3 months of hire.
Job Functions:
Prepares dining room for next service period, sanitizing tables and refilling ice machine. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and wares. Ensures all foods are attractively garnished and displayed. Replenishes food and beverages as they become depleted. Prepares foods for cafeteria operations, including sandwiches, salads, beverage machine drinks, and other related tasks. Runs cash register efficiently, accurately charging patrons for items purchased. Monitors activities within cafeteria, reporting any suspicious activity to manager. Loads food cart with patient trays in preparation for delivery to inpatient unit. Promptly delivers and retrieves food carts and trays to/from inpatient unit. Helps wash and sanitizes dishes in kitchen. Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers, staff, patients, and visitors. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
Basic Food Handler Certification High school diploma or equivalent preferred Pay depends on experience
