Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dietary Aide/Cook to join our caring team. This vital role involves preparing nutritious meals, assisting with food service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings, demonstrating excellent time management and customer service skills to ensure residents receive quality meals and dietary support. Duties Prepare and assemble meals according to established menus, ensuring proper portioning and presentation. Assist with food handling, sanitation, and cleaning duties to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Serve meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner, providing excellent customer service. Support dietary department operations by bussing tables, stocking supplies, and maintaining organized workstations. Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure meal preparation aligns with dietary restrictions and individual resident needs. Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and respect for residents and colleagues. Requirements Previous experience in food production or food service within assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments. Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety regulations. Experience with meal preparation, cooking, and serving in a healthcare or similar setting preferred. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward residents' needs. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and dietary department operations is desirable. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
