Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing nutritious meals for our clients. This position requires a passion for food service and a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and customer service. The Dietary Cook will work closely with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure that all meals meet dietary guidelines and preferences. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with safety and sanitation standards. Collaborate with the dietary aide team to plan menus that cater to residents' nutritional needs. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including proper sanitization of all cooking surfaces and equipment. Assist in food production, portioning, and serving of meals to residents. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for restocking. Adhere to time management practices to ensure timely meal service. Provide excellent customer service by responding to residents' meal requests or concerns promptly. Skills Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations within the food industry. Experience in a dietary aide or similar role is preferred but not required. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in the kitchen area. Good communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members. A background in food production within an assisted living or healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Pay:
$11.00 - $12.00 per hour
