DIETITIAN
- PRN/Per Diem Universal Health Services United States, Washington, Spokane 104 West 5th Avenue (Show on map) May 08, 2026 Responsibilities Dietitian The Dietitian reports to the Director of Nutritional Services and provides coverage in her absence. This role plans and implements physicianordered modified diets, completes nutrition assessments, and provides patient and family education on healthy lifestyle practices. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support patient care plans and monitors nutritionrelated performance improvement activities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nutrition from an accredited college or university Minimum three (3) years of dietary experience in a healthcare setting Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Licensed/registered with the Department of Health, per state requirements Per Diem / As Needed Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities Report directly to the Director of Nutritional Services and provide departmental coverage in her absence. Serve as backup support for daily dietitian functions when the Director of Nutritional Services is not on site. Plan and implement modified diets as prescribed by the attending physician. Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans for patients as needed. Counsel patients and families on healthy lifestyle practices, including dietary plans, food selection, meal preparation, and nutrition and exercise principles. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to integrate nutrition into patient care plans. Monitor and support performance improvement initiatives within the Dietary Services department. Provide input into the development, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition-related patient care plans. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, professional guidelines, and departmental policies.
