Job Description

Position Summary Big Foot Country Club is seeking a professional, service-driven Dining Room Manager to oversee the Club's a la carte dining operations for lunch and dinner service. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact in the dining room and act as the face of the operation, ensuring an exceptional member experience at all times. A key objective of this role will be the successful implementation and leadership of the Club's new mobile point-of-sale (POS) system to help streamline service, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall member dining experience. The Dining Room Manager reports directly to the Food and Beverage Manager and plays a critical leadership role in front-of-house operations, staff development, and member satisfaction. Essential Responsibilities Dining Operations Oversee and manage all a la carte lunch and dinner service. Maintain a visible and active presence on the dining floor during service. Serve as the primary contact for members, addressing needs, feedback, and service recovery in real time. Ensure service standards align with the Club's expectations for hospitality and professionalism. Monitor dining room presentation, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere. Staff Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, and mentor waitstaff and bussers. Develop and manage staff schedules based on service needs and labor budgets. Conduct pre-shift lineups to review nightly specials, service expectations, and member updates. Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and accountability. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture within the front-of-house team. Menu, POS & Service Systems Lead the implementation and rollout of the Club's mobile POS system, including staff training and performance accountability. Identify opportunities to streamline service flow and improve order accuracy through technology. Collaborate with the Chef to develop and refine lunch and dinner menus. Communicate nightly specials clearly and effectively to front-of-house staff. Maintain accuracy of the POS system, including nightly specials and seasonal menu changes. Ensure proper menu knowledge and upselling techniques are consistently executed by staff. Events & Club Support Assist with club-sponsored events and private parties when dining rooms are not in operation. Support event setup, service execution, and breakdown as needed. Work collaboratively with culinary, events, and management teams to ensure seamless execution. Administrative & Operational Duties Monitor labor efficiency and staffing levels in alignment with operational goals. Assist in managing service standards, service flow, and operational procedures. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Participate in weekly leadership meetings. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of food & beverage management experience, preferably in a private club or upscale dining environment. Demonstrated experience implementing or managing POS systems (mobile POS experience preferred). Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
