Direct Care Staff

Duties:

```

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, nurses, and therapists to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals ```

Requirements:

```

• Previous experience in a similar role or field such as social work, nursing, or direct support preferred
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
• Ability to provide patient-centered care and support individuals with diverse needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members
• Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and professionally
• Understanding of medication administration protocols and procedures
