Direct Services Supervisor/Volunteer Coordinator Towanda, PA 18848 From $24 an hour

  • Full-time The Abuse and Rape Crisis Center (ARCC) of Bradford County, PA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as the Direct Services Supervisor/Volunteer Coordinator.
This role involves overseeing the direct services provided to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes, including bullying, child abuse, hate crimes, elder abuse, and human trafficking. The Direct Services Supervisor/Volunteer Coordinator will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to support both direct and indirect services at ARCC. This position is integral to ensuring high-quality support for victims while fostering a committed and effective volunteer team. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of trauma and victimization, demonstrate a commitment to adhering to established policies and procedures, and have experience in generating and analyzing reports. Additionally, the ideal candidate will bring leadership experience, exhibit the ability to take decisive action, and Navigate challenging situations with clarity and compassion, prioritizing empathy in interactions Direct services of ARCC include, but are not limited to, advocacy and accompaniment, counseling, support groups, hotline, emergency safe housing, transportation, child care and on-call shifts. Services are provided to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence and other forms of interpersonal violence. If you have experience leadership, advocating, and supporting persons impacted by trauma or those vulnerable to existing systems we encourage you to apply. This position does work directly with clients and provides direct services such as hotline, on-call response, crisis counseling, criminal justice support/advocacy, and childcare. Training will be provided. Experience working one on one with adults and at-risk youth preferred. This position is full-time, 38 hours per week, benefits included.
Qualifications:
1. Two or more years of related experience in a human service field, college education, or previous training. 2. Ability to supervise, mentor, and support team members. 3. The ARCC counselor/advocate training (this training is provided on-site). 4. Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. 5. Good organizational, record keeping, and basic computer skills. 6. Willingness to work flexible hours. 7. Good writing, speaking, and counseling skills. 8. Knowledge of and concern for victim issues. 9. Ability to relate non-judgmentally with individuals. 10. Clearances are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Recruiting, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating volunteers 2. Training of staff and volunteers 3. Supervising of direct services, to assure that the following services are provided as appropriate to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes: crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, accompaniment, shelter, support group, follow-up, and information and referral and Victims Compensation Assistance. 4.
Completes reporting requirements:
i. Completes, files, updates and terminates 652s as required for domestic and sexual violence clients. ii. Updates and terminates 652s as required for domestic violence clients. iii. Prepares client data reports for
PCADV, PCADV
Medical Advocacy, PCAR, and others as needed. iv. Prepares client statistics on a monthly basis for use at ARCC in grant writing 5. Attends staff meetings 6. Performs other duties as assigned.
