Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional and become a vital part of empowering individuals with disabilities, developmental challenges, or age-related conditions to live fulfilling, independent lives. In this role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on support to help residents achieve their personal goals while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Whether working in group homes, assisted living facilities, or providing home and community care, your positive attitude and proactive approach will make a meaningful difference every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a lasting impact in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Provide supervision of individuals supported based upon their ISP plan. Use own vehicle to transport individuals to their daily activities. Maintain OVR and OPD compliance at all times. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and dignity. Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and assist in updating individual care plans regularly. Engage residents in social activities and community outings to foster socialization and enhance quality of life. Perform patient observation for signs of distress or medical emergencies, including CPR or first aid when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and team members to deliver personalized support aligned with each resident's needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, autism, or mental health disabilities preferred. Transferrable skills in coaching, teaching, mentoring, or similar experiences preferred. Excellent communication skills. Position requires effective communication and presentation skills, computer knowledge, strong documentation and organizational skills. Valid Drivers License. Must Pass Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
