Job Overview As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or special needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate and personalized care, assisting clients in their daily activities and fostering independence. This position requires dedication, empathy, and a commitment to supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide direct support in executing care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Ensure the safety and comfort of clients by monitoring their health and reporting any changes or concerns. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers. Administer first aid as needed and maintain a safe environment for all clients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Skills Strong ability to assist individuals with disabilities or special needs effectively. Experience in direct support roles, particularly in nursing homes or memory care facilities is preferred. Proficient in home community care practices including meal preparation and household management. Capability to lift clients safely while adhering to best practices for physical support. Knowledge of creating and implementing care plans that cater to individual client needs. Basic first aid certification is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members. Pay:

$11.00 - $13.00 per hour
