Direct Support Professional

Care 1 Home Care is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as a Direct Support Specialist (PCA). In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to autistic children and adults in their homes and within the community. We are looking for someone who is patient, caring, professional, and passionate about helping individuals improve their daily living skills and independence. Job Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support and supervision to clients Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care as needed Support social interaction, communication, and community participation Help clients build life skills, routines, and independence Transport clients to appointments, outings, or community activities if required Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment Complete documentation and daily notes accurately and on time Follow individualized care plans and company policies Communicate professionally with families and office staff Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be comfortable working one-on-one with autistic children and adults Must be dependable, patient, and compassionate Ability to maintain professionalism in the client's home and community Previous experience in home care, behavioral health, DSP, PCA, or caregiving preferred but not required Ability to pass background check Schedule Part-time position Flexible hours may include afternoons, evenings, or weekends depending on client needs Skills Preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm in challenging situations Positive attitude and willingness to learn Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus If you are passionate about making a difference and helping others succeed, we encourage you to apply and become part of our team at Care 1 Home Care.
